Leading figure in longevity movement publishes new guide

The chair of the US$101m XPRIZE Healthspan mission – to uncover age-reversing innovations – has published his own guide to living well longer.

Author, futurist and entrepreneur Peter Diamandis has published Longevity Guidebook which includes detail on the coming technologies that could enable so-called longevity escape velocity (LEV); the point at which life expectancy increases faster than people age.

Diamandis, a Harvard Medical School graduate, chairs the US$10m XPRIZE Healthspan scheme which has over 600 teams working to reverse the ravages of aging by 20 years or more. A winner is expected by 2030.

At age 63, he reports himself in peak health, through deliberate effort and prioritisation.

He says: “Over the past decade, I’ve immersed myself in longevity research, interviewed hundreds of experts, and founded companies dedicated to extending human healthspan. This book distills everything I’ve learned, and applied to myself,  offering you a playbook of tools and strategies you can implement today.”

Diamandis, is co-author of the New York Times bestseller Life Force with Tony Robbins, which encourages readers to take control of their health.

“I’m on a mission to help one million people develop their longevity mindset, become the CEO of their own health, and extend their healthspan,” he says.

His new book, Longevity Guidebook: How to Slow, Stop, and Reverse Aging, and NOT DIE from Something Stupid, is available now on Amazon, with all profits going to the XPRIZE Foundation.
