The National Center to Reframe Aging — an organisation for proven communication strategies and tools to effectively frame ageing issues — is partnering with The West End Home Foundation (WEHF), an independent charitable foundation located in Nashville, Tennessee.
The National Center to Reframe Aging will be a strategic partner to support the WEHF’s mission to enrich the lives of older people through grant making, advocacy, and community collaboration.
Key leaders of the Tennessee Department of Disability and Aging and the Tennessee aging network will participate in educational opportunities and receive tools from the National Center to Reframe Aging, equipping them to join the movement to advance a complete story about ageing.
“We are excited about partnering with The West End Home Foundation to empower Tennessee’s leaders in the ageing network,” said Patricia D’Antonio, BSPharm, executive director of the National Center and the vice president for policy and professional affairs at the Gerontological Society of America.
“We look forward to providing participants with the tools to reframe the way we talk about ageing – driving real change for generations to come.”
The implementation of evidence-based reframing strategies to change how we talk about ageing will strengthen support for the ongoing work to build the capacity of WEHF’s partner agencies and the larger ageing services network in Middle Tennessee.
“WEHF is dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults in Middle Tennessee,” said Dianne Oliver, executive director of WEHF.
“We provide grant funding to forty nonprofit organisations and offer capacity building and community education to ensure that all of us are supported as we age and have opportunities to remain engaged in our communities.”
